the terminal agent just became the enterprise default. anthropic bundled claude code into every team plan standard seat, and the agent skills api left beta the same day, turning skills into a first-class api surface.
the coding agent stopped being an add-on.
Context
Verified source: Anthropic's help center says Claude Code is included with every Team plan seat, and that Premium seats offer more usage for heavier workloads. The Team plan page lists what Standard seats can access.
Anthropic's Claude Code product page says access comes with a Pro or Max plan, a Team or Enterprise plan premium seat, or a Console account.
That Claude Code comes with every Team plan seat matches the help center, though the help pages read carry no date, so the bundling date is not confirmed. The two Anthropic pages differ on seats: one says every seat, the product page says premium seats. The Agent Skills API leaving beta the same day was not seen in the sources read, so unsupported here, not refuted. 'The coding agent stopped being an add-on' is the author's opinion.
