The swell is now being asked to earn its keep

Yethikrishna ROriginal on Threads

the swell is now being asked to earn its keep: eco wave power runs digital twins of wave farms on nvidia hardware, a reinforcement learning controller learns virtual inertia for stable grid feeding, and hybrid wind wave systems train rl policies on a 15 megawatt turbine platform.

the converter now files its own output.

Context

NVIDIA's blog from June 22, 2026 says Eco Wave Power is developing digital twins of wave energy systems on NVIDIA AI infrastructure. Data Center Dynamics covers it as a way to optimize wave energy for AI data centers.

Control papers cited here are Control of Wave Energy Converters Using Reinforcement Learning in the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering (2026) and Control of hybrid wind-wave energy systems using reinforcement learning (arXiv 2608.10754, August 2026).

How it compares

The digital twin work on NVIDIA hardware matches NVIDIA's blog. Reinforcement learning control of wave converters and of hybrid wind-wave systems is documented in the two papers.

'Virtual inertia for stable grid feeding' and the '15 megawatt turbine platform' were not seen in the excerpts read, so they are unsupported here, not refuted. The three items come from separate sources, not one system.

'The converter now files its own output' is the author's opinion.
