The storefront you see is now generated for you alone
the storefront you see is now generated for you alone: ai personalization drives roughly 45% of online conversions, amazon credits 35% of its revenue to recommendations, and personalization leaders grow 10 points faster than laggards.
the ‘you might also like’ row quietly became the store itself.
Context
Nexchron (Jun 12, 2026) reports AI personalization drives 45 percent of online conversions in 2026. Pages citing McKinsey say Amazon's recommendation engine accounts for an estimated 35 percent of its retail revenue (aipersonalization.cloud, May 22, 2026; Brain-Tech, Jul 5, 2026).
Other sources are more cautious: Triple Whale (Mar 25, 2026), citing McKinsey, says personalization most often drives a 5 to 15 percent revenue lift, and Mediovsky (May 10, 2026) puts a realistic AI conversion lift at 10 to 30 percent.
The 45 percent of conversions and the 35 percent of Amazon revenue figures match the pages read, though both are secondary and the Amazon figure is an estimate. 'Personalization leaders grow 10 points faster than laggards' was not seen in the sources read, so unsupported here, not refuted. The pages read say leaders generate 40 percent more revenue from personalization activities, a different claim.
