the restaurant kitchen just lost its human cooks to three robots and a coffee machine. jd's 7fresh chef transformer food truck, shown at beijing's ciftis on september 13, runs fully automated from order to stir-fry with no on-site chefs, while a robot restaurant in leipzig's central station has been serving 80 to 120 bowls an hour since september 16.

the taste is now the easiest thing to standardize.

Context

Verified source: GlobeNewswire (Sep 13, 2026) says JD.com's 7Fresh Kitchen intelligent food truck has three intelligent cooking robots and a smart coffee machine, with fully automated operation from order to robotic stir-frying. Chinese reports (CNR, Sep 11) say it appeared at the trade services fair from Sep 9 to 13.

Verified source: goodBytz says its robot restaurant at Leipzig Central Station has been cooking since Sep 16, 2026, and, depending on the recipe, can prepare 80 to 120 meals an hour. Die Zeit says the same range in bowls.

How it compares

The three robots and coffee machine, and Leipzig's Sep 16 opening and 80 to 120 bowls an hour, match the sources. The 80 to 120 figure is the maker's capacity range depending on the recipe, and Robyn's own site lists 100 meals an hour, per Amuse. The fair ran Sep 9 to 13, so 'shown on Sep 13' is the last day and not the debut. 'Taste is the easiest thing to standardize' is the author's opinion. Anything else in the post was not seen in the sources read, so unsupported here, not refuted.
