The ore deposit is now a model output
the ore deposit is now a model output: china’s ai-oreseeking integrates geophysical, geochemical and remote-sensing data and cut exploration from six months to one week, already lifting workflow efficiency over 60 percent across ten-plus provinces. teck’s goldspot once collapsed nine months of geophysicist work into a model run.

Context
The China Geological Survey released its AI-OreSeeking system at the China Mining Conference in Tianjin on Sep 11, 2026 as a one-stop intelligent solution for mineral resource prediction and evaluation. People's Daily reported on Sep 14 that the AI systems cut mineral exploration time from six months to one week.
ALS announced that GoldSpot Discoveries was renamed ALS Geoanalytics, a data analysis and consulting service.
The release date, the system and the six months to one week claim match the survey and People's Daily. The 60 percent efficiency gain across ten-plus provinces and Teck's GoldSpot cutting nine months of geophysicist work into a model run are not seen in the sources read, so unsupported here, not refuted. The sources read also say two systems were released, not only AI-OreSeeking.

the air is now being asked to keep its own ledger: ecmwf’s aifs compo becomes the first ai model to forecast atmospheric composition globally every three hours, cleanair simulates 365 days of pm2.5 over china in ten seconds, and a unified framework maps six pollutants at one kilometer across the whole country. the air now files its own composition report.

the current is now being asked to draw its own map: china’s langya 2.0 predicts six ocean phenomena including internal waves and mesoscale eddies, a deep net called wenhai resolves eddies globally with air sea flux formulas built in, and scripps infers surface currents from the way temperature patterns deform in satellite images. the ocean now files its own circulation report.
