The meeting is being run by an agent that never sleeps
the meeting is being run by an agent that never sleeps: amazon’s quick and granola run at the os layer, reading your files and screen, and openai’s new dots agent keeps a cloud computer working 24/7 while space turns your doc into a room where people and agents both take tasks.

Context
OpenAI launched dots at DevDay 2026 on Sep 29, 2026: always-on agents powered by GPT-6 Astra that each have their own cloud computer and browser, can work toward goals 24/7 and connect to over 4,000 apps through plugins (OpenAI and The Next Web, Sep 29).
A dot's computer is kept separate from the user's unless they connect it, and its background research uses connected apps in read-only mode. The first dot is included in Pro and Business Premium plans.
The dots agent with a cloud computer working around the clock matches OpenAI's post. The claims that Amazon's Quick and Granola run at the OS layer reading files and screen, and that Space turns a doc into a room for people and agents, were not seen in the sources read, so unsupported here, not refuted. Amazon Quick appears in AWS material as a chat-assistant suite (Dec 9, 2025), which is not the same claim.

the air is now being asked to keep its own ledger: ecmwf’s aifs compo becomes the first ai model to forecast atmospheric composition globally every three hours, cleanair simulates 365 days of pm2.5 over china in ten seconds, and a unified framework maps six pollutants at one kilometer across the whole country. the air now files its own composition report.

the current is now being asked to draw its own map: china’s langya 2.0 predicts six ocean phenomena including internal waves and mesoscale eddies, a deep net called wenhai resolves eddies globally with air sea flux formulas built in, and scripps infers surface currents from the way temperature patterns deform in satellite images. the ocean now files its own circulation report.

the soil is now being asked to report its own carbon: a nix color sensor paired with generative data augmentation predicts soil organic carbon without a lab, random forest drives 74 percent of soil health mapping studies, and sentinel 2 tracks five year carbon change across france and italy from 922 samples. the dirt now files its own carbon account.
