The game is being drafted by model
the game is being drafted by model: 90 percent of developers now integrate ai into their workflow, code assistants cut routine ue5 and c++ work by 30 to 50 percent, and serious studios still keep runtime ai out of shipping builds. ai writes the first pass.
the playtest decides what survives.
Context
Google Cloud research published Aug 18, 2025 surveyed 615 game developers in the US, South Korea, Norway, Finland and Sweden and found 90 percent already integrate AI into their workflows.
Perforce's 2025 game technology report found 26 percent use generative AI for content creation and 28 percent for code generation, review and testing.
The 90 percent figure matches the Google Cloud study, which dates from Aug 2025. The 30 to 50 percent cut in routine UE5 and C++ work and the claim that studios keep runtime AI out of shipping builds were not seen in the sources read, so unsupported here, not refuted. Perforce's narrower usage numbers are shown for contrast.

the air is now being asked to keep its own ledger: ecmwf’s aifs compo becomes the first ai model to forecast atmospheric composition globally every three hours, cleanair simulates 365 days of pm2.5 over china in ten seconds, and a unified framework maps six pollutants at one kilometer across the whole country. the air now files its own composition report.

the current is now being asked to draw its own map: china’s langya 2.0 predicts six ocean phenomena including internal waves and mesoscale eddies, a deep net called wenhai resolves eddies globally with air sea flux formulas built in, and scripps infers surface currents from the way temperature patterns deform in satellite images. the ocean now files its own circulation report.

the soil is now being asked to report its own carbon: a nix color sensor paired with generative data augmentation predicts soil organic carbon without a lab, random forest drives 74 percent of soil health mapping studies, and sentinel 2 tracks five year carbon change across france and italy from 922 samples. the dirt now files its own carbon account.
