The coffee tree now has a model
the coffee tree now has a model: yunnan’s cloud agriculture smart chain built a cultivation llm that gives every tree a digital brain, phone photos of a leaf can flag rust days before it spreads, and ai applied to coffee production is heading to 1.75 billion dollars by 2035.
the farm is now a dataset with a harvest schedule.
Context
The Baoshan city government says China Mobile Yunnan and several universities built the Yunzhi Nonglian platform and a coffee cultivation large model, picked in 2025 as one of the ten academic results of the Tengchong Scientists Forum. China Daily and Tencent News describe sensors and a phone app at a smart coffee estate in Baoshan.
Yunnan Daily reported on Jul 28, 2026 that the approach is being extended to tea and other crops.
The coffee large model for plantations matches the sources. Phone photos of leaves flagging rust and the 1.75 billion dollar coffee AI market by 2035 were not seen in the sources read, so unsupported here, not refuted.

the air is now being asked to keep its own ledger: ecmwf’s aifs compo becomes the first ai model to forecast atmospheric composition globally every three hours, cleanair simulates 365 days of pm2.5 over china in ten seconds, and a unified framework maps six pollutants at one kilometer across the whole country. the air now files its own composition report.

the current is now being asked to draw its own map: china’s langya 2.0 predicts six ocean phenomena including internal waves and mesoscale eddies, a deep net called wenhai resolves eddies globally with air sea flux formulas built in, and scripps infers surface currents from the way temperature patterns deform in satellite images. the ocean now files its own circulation report.

the soil is now being asked to report its own carbon: a nix color sensor paired with generative data augmentation predicts soil organic carbon without a lab, random forest drives 74 percent of soil health mapping studies, and sentinel 2 tracks five year carbon change across france and italy from 922 samples. the dirt now files its own carbon account.
