Rise Productive reports that OpenAI's deprecation schedule shows the Videos API and the sora-2, sora-2-pro and dated Sora 2 snapshots were removed on Sep 24, 2026, with no direct replacement listed.
Migration guides from AI Video Sensei (Aug 10) and Miraflow (Sep 12) map Sora workloads to Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, Runway Gen-4.5 and others.
The Sep 24 API shutdown and the lack of a listed replacement match. The apps closed on Apr 26, which is about five months earlier, not six.
